Historical Summary--Core Data Index Metadata
It was probably built during the Safavid period (1501/1502-1722 AD) (Nourbakhsh, 2535) or Zand period (1750-1794 AD) (Tayyari, 1383 Hijri Shamsi (solar)) [If the barracks and house of commander was built during the Seljuk (1041-1187 AD), or Teimorid (1370-1507 AD) periods (Nourbakhsh, 2535 [1353 Hijri Shamsi (solar)]), one can assume Governor’s House was built at the same time] Following the theory that this section of the Citadel is the core and most ancient part, the plan of the Chāhār-Fasl edifice might resemble "Chartaghi" or four-vaulted edifices belonging to historical periods before Islam in Persia (before 651 AD) (Nourbakhsh 2535 [1353 Hijri Shamsi (solar)])
