西安の推薦寺にある仏塔 ; 西安の南門を南に1．5キロ行くと、薦福寺があり、小雁塔はその寺院内にある。唐代の高僧義浄が単身インドに渡り、仏典400部を持ち帰り、この寺でその翻訳に打ち込んだといわれる。707年に建立。形や構造が大雁塔よりも小ぶりなことからこの名が付けられた。 / About 1km South from the center of Xian, there is The Temple of Great Fortune. The Little Wild Goose Pagoda is in this area. This Pagoda was built in 707AD Tang period. In this temple, the monk Yijing translated 400 Buddhist scriptures which he brought back from India, and The Little Wild Goose Pagoda was built to house and protect these sutras. This Pagoda’s structure size is smaller than The Great Goose Pagoda, therefore people call it The Little Wild Goose Pagoda. H.43m
