It includes descriptions on their expedition as well as a number of photographs of the local people. Le Coq, the author, attended all the three expeditions except the first one amongst the four German Turfan Expeditions, and published the records of them. This book is an important record to grasp the outline of German Expeditions, together with Excavation of the hidden treasures in Central Asia, which gives the account of the second ant the third expeditions.
