From CHABRANG (Gnarl Kharsum) to BLKHAR
(Gnâri Kharsum).

A secondary route, passable for horses.

Ch d b r a n y, 31° 26'; 79° 22'; 15,588 ft., 1 mile S. of the Sâtlej river. Here is the summer residence of a Jhfingpun (Tibetan official)—Q L6met.

Pilling—Cross several rivers and deep ravines. Kdrbak, a small village. Camp.

Békhar, 31° 37'; 78° 57'; 12,676 ft. No villages are situated between Békhar and Kkbak.

(Gnâri Kharsum).

Châbrang, 31° 26'; 79° 22'; 15,588 ft., 1 mile S. of the Sâtlej river—Continue along the left side of the Sâtlej valley (road almost level).

Tôling, 31° 27'; 79° 32', near the left bank of the Sâtlej river (level of the river 12,369 ft.).

(Kinâur).
