From SÎMLA (Simla) to SÛNI (Simla).

A secondary route, passable for horses. A good macle road.

S•tini, 31° 15'; 77° 8'; 2,318 ft., near the left bank of the SAtlej river, with hot springs close to the river (level of the river 2,127 ft.).

From SKÂRDO (Bâlti) to Dis, or TANG (Hasora).
A secondary route, passable for horses.

Sktirdo, 35° 20'•2; 75° 44'.0x, on the left bank of the Indus river (level of the river 7,255 ft.)—Nagolisbâng—Bong La—Sâtpâr Tso.

A Rûba Chûmik—Q Cho Cho Chûmik (12,738 ft.)—ACho Cho Brânsa—A Tangtân;p Kichât — A Balkôrdoa— p "'Ahura.

A Gydizering Mat (13,175 ft.), in the upper part of the D5.skérim valley.

Dûs, or Tang, 35° 2'; 75° 4'; 10,794 ft., the highest village in the Dâskérim valley.

Route No. 195.

From SKÂRDO (Bâ1ti) to GI.LGIT (Gilgit).

There are two different routes: the one leading down the Indus valley by Rôyul and Bônji; but this is a very difficult one, extremely rocky and quite impassable for horses: the other by Shigar andChutron.
