A l'intérieur de la salle, le dieu tout doré est assis dans
une niche rouge sur un fauteuil de même couleur (fig. 14);
il tient en main l'insigne de dignité appelé kouei 圭; il
porte une moustache retombante, une barbiche et de longs
filaments de favoris noirs. Il est coiffé du chapeau mien 冕,
sorte de planchette rectangulaire de laquelle pendent par
devant et par derrière 13 fils rouges sur lesquels sont enfilés des
boules vertes, rouges et bleues; cette frange descend par
devant jusqu'aux yeux du personnage. Devant la statue est
une tablette portant les mots: 玉皇上帝大天尊
„image du grand dieu souverain de jade, Empereur d'en
haut."
