المدينة فاحاطوا به فاختفى في بيت الطهارة فعثروا عليه
وقطعوا رأسه وبعثوا به الى سلمان خان وفرّقوا اعضاءه على
البلاد تشفّيًا منه ،
ذكر قدوم ابي الخليفة عليه واخباره وكان الامير غياث
الدين محمّد بن عبد القاهر بن يوسف بن عبد العزيز بن
لخليفة المستنصر بالله العبّاسي البغدادي قد وفد على السلطان
علاء الدين طرمشبرين ملك ما وراء النهر فاكرمه واعطاه
الزاوية التي على قبر قُثَم بن العبّاس رضى الله عنهما واستوطن
بها اعواماً ثمّ لمّا سمع بمحبّة السلطان في بني العبّاس وقيامه
بدعوتهم احبّ القدوم عليه وبعث له برسولين احدهما
DE L'ARRIVÉE DU FILS DU CALIFE CHEZ LE SULTAN DE L'INDE,
ET DE SES AVENTURES.
L'émir Ghiyâth eddin Mohammed, fils d'Abd alkâhir, fils
de Yoûçuf, fils d'Abd al'aziz, fils du calife Almostansir
billâh, al'abbâcy, albaghdâdy, avait été trouver le sultan
'Alâ eddin Thermachirin, roi de la Transoxane. Celui-ci le
traita avec beaucoup d'honneurs, et lui donna un ermitage
construit sur le tombeau de Kotham, fils d'Al'abbâs, où
Ghiyâth eddin demeura plusieurs années. Lorsqu'il entendit
parler, plus tard, de l'affection que le sultan de l'Inde avait
pour la famille d'Abbâs, et de sa persistance à reconnaître
ses droits, il désira se rendre auprès de lui, et il lui expé-
