تركستان وما ورآء النهر ثمّ خالفت عليه الامرآء مّن لم
يحضر لقتل الغان وقطعوا الطرق وعظمت الفتى ،
ذكر رجوعى الى الصين ثمر الى الهند ولمّا وقع الخلادى
وتسعّرت الفتى اشار علىّ الشيخ برهان الدين وسواه ان اعود
الى الصين قبل تمكّن الفتى ووقفوا معى الى نائب السلطان
فيروز فبعث معى ثلاثة من احبابه وكتب الى بالضيافة وسريا
مُتحدرين في النهر الى خنسا ثمّ الى قنجنفو ثمّ الى الزيتون
فلمّا وصلتها وجدت الجنوك على السفر الى الهند وفى جملتها
جنك لملك الظاهر صاحب الجاوة اهله مسلمون وعرفنى وكيله
وسُرّ بقدومى وصادفنا الريح الطيّبة عشرة أيّام فهـا فاربنا بلاد

contre le nouveau souverain; ils se mirent à intercepter les
routes, et les désordres furent considérables.
DE MON RETOUR EN CHINE ET DANS L'INDE.
La révolte ayant éclaté et les discordes civiles s'étant al-
lumées, le cheikh Borhân eddin et autres, me conseillèrent
de retourner à la Chine, avant que les désordres fissent des
progrès. Ils se rendirent avec moi chez le lieutenant du sul-
tan Firoûz, qui fit partir en ma compagnie trois de ses ca-
marades, et écrivit, afin que j'eusse à recevoir partout l'hos-
pitalité. Nous descendîmes le fleuve jusqu'à Khansâ, Kan-
djenfoû et Zeïtoûn. Arrivé à cette dernière ville, je trouvai
des jonques prêtes à voguer vers l'Inde; parmi celles-ci, il y
en avait une appartenant au roi Zhâhir, souverain de Djâ-
ouah (Sumatra), dont l'équipage était composé de mu-
sulmans. L'administrateur du navire me reconnut, et il se
réjouit de mon arrivée. Nous eûmes bon vent pendant dix
jours; mais en approchant du pays de Thaouâlicy, il chan-
