كان غائبا عنها ولقيت بها شيخنا (1) الصالح العالم مجد الدين
قاضى القضاة وهو قد كفّ بصره نفعه الله ونفع بـه (2) ثمّ
سافرت الى ماين ثمّ الى يَزْدُخاس ثمّ الى كَليل ثمّ الى كَشْك
زَر (3) ثمّ الى اصبهان ثمّ الى تُستـر ثمّ الى هُـوَيْـزا (4) ثمّ الى
البصرة وقد تقدّم ذكر جميعها وزرت بالبصرة القبـور الكريمـة
التي بها وفي قبر الزُّبير بن العَوَّام وطَلْحة بن عُبَيد الله وحَليمة
السَّعديَّة وابي بكرة وأنَس بن مالك والحسن البصريّ وثابـت
البُنانيّ ومحمَّد بن سيرين ومالك بن دينار ومحمَّد بن واسع
وحَبيب الكجيّ وسهل بن عبد الله التُّستريّ رضى الله تعالى
عنهم اجمعين ثمّ سافرنا من البصرة فوصلنا الى مشهد علىّ بن
ابي طالب رضى الله عنه وزرناه ثمّ توجَّهنـا الى الكوفـة فزرنا
nière ville, régnait encore, mais il en était absent. J'y vis
notre cheikh pieux et savant, Madjd eddin, le grand juge;
il était alors aveugle. Que Dieu soit avec lui, et nous fasse
grâce par son intermédiaire!
De Chirâz j'allai à Mâin, puis à Yezdokhàs, à Kélil, à Co-
che-zer, à Ispahàn, Toster, Howaiza et Basrah. Tous ces lieux
ont été déjà mentionnés. Je visitai dans cette dernière ville
les nobles sépulcres qu'elle renferme: ce sont ceux de Zobeir,
fils d'Al'awwâm; de Thalhah, fils d'Obaïd Allah; de Halimah
Assa'diyyah, ou de la tribu des Bénou Sa'd; d'Aboû Becrah,
d'Ânas, fils de Mâlic; de Haçan de Basrah, de Thâbit Albo-
nâny, de Mohammed, fils de Sirin; de Mâlic, fils de Dinâr;
de Mohammed, fils de Ouâci'; de Habib le Persan et de Sahl,
fils d'Abdallah, de Toster. Que le Dieu très-haut soit satisfait
d'eux tous! (Cf. t. II, p. 13 à 15.) Nous partîmes de Basrah
et arrivâmes à (la ville nommée) Mechhed 'Aly, ou le mau-
solée d'Aly, fils d'Aboû Thâlib; nous le visitâmes. Ensuite
nous nous dirigeâmes vers Coûfah, et allâmes voir sa mos-
