BLIND MUSICIANS. These are nearly as great a plague as are our organ grinders. Without a handsome donation it is impossible to get rid of them; but as the sounds they produce are unbearable by any one but themselves, they make rather a good thing out of people's desire to dismiss them at any price. The instrument delineated here is a guitar. Chinese have much pity and sympathy for the blind beggars and musicians that one encounters in every native city. |
