dérable; il paraît avoir voulu profiter de l'ex-voto de l'Empereur pour uti-
liser dans son propre intérêt la face restée vierge de la tablette de cuivre, et
son but était d'obtenir une prolongation de sa propre vie. Il était accom-
pagné d'un religieux taoïste qui a dû jouer le rôle de l'officiant.
Moi, Tchang Fong-kouo ¹, ayant les titres de nei-che, tch'ao san ta fou, hing nei
che cheng, préposé à la fermeture des portes² dans les appartements latéraux du
palais, soutien supérieur du royaume, ma destinée est née (ici-bas) en l'année kia-
wou, le dix-huitième jour du huitième mois (12 septembre 694)³. Le religieux taoïste
Tch'ou Tch'ou-tao⁴; le p'an-kouan⁵ Wang Yue-pin. L'année jen-yin, le dixième jour
du huitième mois (2 septembre 762). L'homme de la suite ⁶, Ts'in Yen-ngen⁷.
