Culmus (unicus mihi visus) erectus, 60 cm. fere altus, 4-nodis, glaber lævis,
internodia quam vaginae longiora, panicula longius exserta; foliorum innovatiorum
(ut videtur intravaginalium, in specimine haud cum culmo cohærentium) lamina glauca,
rigida, erecta, anguste linearis, arcte involuta, intus et margine valde scabra, pungenti-
acuta, ad 20 cm. longa, ligula membranacea, apice denticulata, ad 3 mm. longa, vagina
firma, bene striata, glauca vel albescens; foliorum culmeorum lamina brevior, suprema
7 cm. longa, vagina suprema 13 cm. longa, ligula in foliis culmeis ad 5 mm. longa;
panicula 9 cm. longa, densa, ambitu ovato-lanceolata, rami scabri, a basi divisi et
spiculigeri, inferiores ad 4 cm. longi; spiculæ angustæ; glumæ vacuæ anguste lan-
ceolatæ, longe angustatæ, inferior ¾—⅘ superioris æquans, nervis lateralibus 2 brevibus
instructa, superior 6 mm. longa, 1-nervia; pilorum corona bene evoluta, spiculam
æquans; gluma florifera tenuissima 3 mm. longa, elliptica, apice denticulata, 3-nervia,
ex apice tenuiter aristata, arista 1—2 mm. tantum longa; palea dimidiam glumam
æquans, ovalis, brunneata, denticulata.

(flowering).
Dr. R. PILGER writes: »Die neue ausgezeichnete Art kann mit *C. enodensis*
Griseb. verglichen werden, bei der aber u. a. die zweispaltige Deckspelze verhältnis-
mäßig kürzer und länger begrannt ist und die Vorspelze länger ist; *C. Stolizkai* Hook.,
von der ich nur die kurze Beschreibung kenne, hat nach dieser kürzere Achsenhaare
und eine längere Vorspelze; die Hüllspelzen sind ungefähr gleichlang.«
