NOTES

The meaning of the words 'name (or names) of ten generations' is absolutely unintelligible to me. As regards the Tibetan forms of the names, the orthography leaves much to be desired. I suppose that the following spellings were intended:—(below Karam-can[d]): No-no-Cuń-ńun, Tshe-dbań-rnam-rgyal, Bkra-śis-dbań-rgyal, Tshe-dbań, Bhāga-cand, Bkra-śis-dbań-drag (or grags), Dharma-siń, Tārā-cand; Seń-ge, Śar-gsum (!), Cuń-ńun, Hari-rām, Bhemi-rām, Ñi-ma-siń, Dgah-phrug, Hu-ti-(!)rām, Devī-cand.

The following is the genealogical tree of Bkra-śis-dbań-drag's descendants drawn up by my munshi, Bzod-pa-Bde-chen, and continued to the present day. Some of the dates are taken from Massey's book on Panjab genealogies.
