tachent ces trois fragments donnait au-dessous du titre de la
stèle, selon l'usage, la titulature et le nom de l'auteur de l'in-
scription. Ces mentions se terminent régulièrement par 撰
*tchouan*, «a composé»; Schlegel s'est inspiré de cette habitude
pour restituer le nom au bas de cette première ligne⁽¹⁾; mais
c'est arbitrairement qu'il a ajouté le titre de *tarqan* après
*mo-ho*; ce titre n'est qu'un possible entre beaucoup d'autres.
Il nous reste donc de la première ligne, au-dessous du titre :
«Le *nei-tsai-siang il-ügüsi* . . . *dā* (?) . . . *si* (?) Alp inanèu
bagha . . . [a composé].»
Dans la seconde colonne, apparaît à trois reprises un titre
qui est sans doute ○ 紇 伽 哩 伽 ○-*yu-k'ie-li-k'ie* (*\*-²u-g'a-li-g'a*),
mais il ne subsiste presque au complet que la première fois;
