Hanle, 32° 48'; 78° 56'; 15,117 ft., a monastery, probably the highest permanently inhabited place of Western Tibet—Descend the Hanle valley along its left side (road forms a very gentle incline).
A Mangkhang (15,020 ft.), 11 miles from Hanle, on the left bank of the Hanle river—Cross the Hanle river.
R ô ng o, 33° 7'; 78° 50', near the left bank of the Indus river, 13 miles from p Mangkhâng.
