From the KARAKORI M PASS (Ladak-Turkistan) to
0 S6GET (Turkistan).

A secondary route, passable for horses.

Ddulat Beg Ulde (16,597 ft.), at the southwestern foot of the Karakoram pass—Cross the Karakoram pass, 35°46'.9; 77°30'.4x; 18,345 ft.

A B •d l l u, also called Barângsa (16,883 ft.), on. the Yarkand river (fuel and grass scanty) Continue along the Yârkancl river.

0 Vdliksha (15,104 ft.), grass place with a group of fine springs (an easy stage)—Cross a pass (the Chibra, or Kotâsh Chilga pass).

A Stiget, 36° 10'.4; 77° 50'.1 }; 12,960 ft., a fine pasture ground, 2 miles distant from the left bank of the Karak6,sh river; fuel and grass plentiful.

From KÂRBU (Dras) to DA (Ladak).

A secondary route, passable for horses. Maps: Cunningham's Pânjab and Western Himalaya. — Waugh and Thuillier's Pänjab and adjoining countries.

Kdrbu, 34° 15'; 76° 27'; 11,617 ft., on trie left bank of the Kânji river — Kral — Daze Pargya.

Chiktdn, on the left bank of the Kânji river—Continue along the left side of the Kânji valley —Hagnis—Shingbutâ — Shâksi—Mashdn.

Sanjdk, near the confluence of the Kânji and Indus rivers — Continue along the Indus valley —Cross the Indus river.

From KÂRBU (Dras) to KÂRGIL (Dras).
A principal route, passable for horses.
