Ibn Battuta’s travels from the Tughluq dynasty capital of Delhi to the Maldives, Sri Lanka, and the Yuan dynasty capital of Khanbaliq (modern day Beijing). Returning to Cairo by sea, Ibn Battuta departed Asia from the port at Zaitun (Quanzhou) but eventually had to take refuge in southern Spain (Granada) due the Holy Wars.
