I. LITERATURE.

(a) Books obtained chiefly in Ladakh.

  1.  Shar-rgan-gyi-glu-bzhugs-so, The Songs of the Shar-rgan festival, from Poo (8P'). Copied from a MS. at Poo by bsKal-bzang. 29 ps. 8°.

  2.  The same, translated into ordinary Tibetan, by bsKal-bzang.

  3.  Bod-rgya-nag-rgya-gar-reams-kyi rgyal-rabs-bzhugs-so, History of Tibet, China, and India copied from the great rGyal-cabs of Khalatse by bZod-pa-phun-thsogs. 96 ps. foolscap.

  4.  Ka-dros-chos-sder (bKa-gros-chos-gter), a small tract in Skrt. and Tibetan, extracted from a mchod-rten at Chemre and sold to us. On p. 1, it is stated to be a sástra (bstan-chos) composed by King Srong-btsan-sgam-po and two monks, viz., Nam-Khai-snying-po, and Atsar (Ácärya) Nag-po

and sent to Nga-ris (Western Tibet) . 14 x 3/ cm.

  8.  gCig-tan-gyi-jo-rabs-ni, History of the chiefs of gCig-tan. The original being lost, the history was taken down according to the dictation of the present ex-chief of gCig-tan by Munshi Ye-shes-rig'adzin of Khalatse. One sheet, 59 by 223 cm.

  9.  Kha-la-tse-pa-me-me-thse-bstan-gyis-bshad-par-thy,-dmag-gi-lo-rgyus-bzhugs-so, Joseph Thsebrtan's history of the Dogra war. Lithographic print from Leh Mission Press, 1903. 16 ps. 8°.
