The large glaciers of ISâhi, of which the Clmrkrinda is one or the greatest, are much more crevassal than those in the easterly parts of the Karakoram range. The surrounding mountains consist of granite, and, being remarkably steep and pointed, the quantity of snow. resting on their flanks, is much smaller than it otherwise would be. The drawing is taken from the central moraine I at the junction of the two principal aflluents) which contains numerous glacier-tables, and to this spot the geographical coordinates are referred.
