ある通り 広東 国内の通りは全て（北部の首都、北京を除く）狭く薄暗いところが全く同じだ。外国人から見ると、ヨーロッパの都市では一般的な明るい外観がほしいところだ。しかし、曲がりくねった道は暑い太陽の照りつける日差しを遮るという利点があるほか、散歩すると多分楽しいはずなのだ。探検家の意思に反し、筆舌に尽くしがたいほど嗅神経を刺激する臭いがなかったとしたらだが。この狭い迷路には骨董品店が多いが、たいてい法外な商品価格を要求されるので、結局商売は広がらない。A STREET, CANTON. Curio shops abound in these narrow labyrinths, but the prices asked for the wares are generally very exorbitant, and the business in consequence is not extensive.
