| No.866 北京：今、首都は雨期であり、乾期にはどこにでも舞っていた土埃のかわりに、柔らかく厚くつもったぬかるみが路を覆って荷車の車輪が深い軌道を形作っている。商店の正面は塗り立てられ鍍金を施されて豪華だが、これらの建物はみな大都市の固定的に構えられた住宅や店というより仮設小屋といった外観を呈している。ここに典型としてあげられた通りはLoo-mau-szuといい、内城（タタール・シティ）にある。No.866 PEKIN.
