DEN VANDRANDE SJÖN
fyracylindriga lastbilar av 1933 bättre fördrogo den
centralasiatiska terrängen in hans åttacylindriga av

The old truck suffered several mechanical breakdowns and had eventually to be abandoned Soo miles short of Kashgar; the new one reached the end of the journey in perfect condition, and had the distinction of being the first motor vehicle to be driven through from the Chinese border to Kashgar. The moral is that only new machinery is good enough to stand
