Eastern Pamir, Mus-tagh-ata, Yam-bulak-bashi, 4439 m., i 5 th Aug. i 894. The species differs from E. Gerardiana by thinner branchlets (not exceeding mm.) and by included seed and tubillus.

Geogr. area: Known only from Pamir.

(?) Ephedra Przewalskii Stapf, in Denkschr. d. Akad. d. Wiss. Wien 56 (i 8 8 9) 4o. Northern Tibet, Bash - kurgan, south of Lop - nor, 26 29 m. , 5 th July i 900; S. W. Tibet, hill above the source of Tsangpo, 5015 m., 13 th July 1909.

Two specimens from the former locality, ab. 20 cm. high. As both are male only, the identification is not sure. The specimen from S. W. Tibet is small and perfectly sterile.

Geogr. area : Central-Asiatic mountains, esp. Kuku-nor region.
