East-Turkestan, in the Tarim estuary , ab. 830 m. , early summer 1900. (»Occurs in all oases and at all rivers in East Turkestan«). Two specimens, one of them appears to be a root-cutting, its leaves are short-petioled, ovate, 2-2,5 cm.

long and very stellate-hairy.

Geogr. area: Southern Europe, W.-Asia, High Asia in valleys.

(determ. by Sv. MURBECK).

Viola, ex affinitate V. Patrinii D. C. et V. Gnielini R. & S.

Tibet, without locality, 1896.

Prof. Dr. Sv. MURBECK has informed us that together with the two Gentianas described by him (see above) was a species of Viola, which he did not determine specifically. As the material has disappeared, further information is not possible.
