The material is rather scanty and the identification is not quite sure as there are several allied species of the sect. Bracteatæ (cfr. SCHNEIDER, 1. c).

Tuksum, 4596 m., in the valley of Upper Tsang-po, 1st July 1907 (flowering, PI. III, Fig. 4).

The species is near to I. compacta Maxim. I. grandi, flora Bur. et Franch. and

I. Bonvaloti Bur. et Franch., but seems distinct enough to be kept specifically separate. Geogr. area: Tibet.
