»Ich halte daher A. kilghisorum Schrenk nicht für identisch mit A. cainelorum Fischer, sondern für eine eigene Art, deren Verbreitung sich westlich wahrscheinlich
nicht über Turkestan hinaus erstreckt.«

Potentilla. About I o years ago one of the best authorities on the genus the late Dr. TH. WOLF of Dresden was so kind to revise my naming of the material of this genus. In the following I have added his remarks to the identifications. His valuable monograph of the genus is quoted throughout.
A few of the plants which have come into my hands later, have not been seen by Dr. Wolf.

Of this variable species the following forms have been collected by Dr. S. HEDIN:'
I. var. vulgaris Willd. f. arbuscula (Don) Th. Wolf.
Northern Tibet, Mandarlik, 3437 m. , medio July 1900 (locality not quite sure); sterile.
2. var. parvi folia (Fisch.) Th. Wolf, 1. c. 58; P. fruticosa, var. ochreata Hook. f., Fl. Brit. Ind., vix Lehm.; Keissler, in Ann. Naturh. Hofmuseum (1 907) 25.

Note by Dr. TH. WOLF: »Die var. ochreata bei LEHMANN ist keine besondere Varietät , sondern eine nichtssagende Form verschiedener Varietäten; bei HOOKER fil. ist sie = P. parvifolia Fisch. in Lehm., sowohl nach der Beschreibung als auch nach einem Originalexemplar Hookers. In der Beschreibung fehlt nur: foliis plurimis trijugis, jugis duobus inferioribus verticillatim approximatis; solche ,folia trijuga` sind aber tatsächlich an seinem Original vorhanden ! (wie auch bei vorliegenden Pflanzen).«
