In the year 1909 abundant rains occurred in Western Tibet, and water began to flow through the channel from the Manasarovar to the Rakas-tai.
The rains were still stronger in 1910, and a >'rushing stream» flowed down through the channel.
In June and July 1911 there was no water in the channel, but in the autumn of the same year water was running from Manasasovar to Rakas-tai. In 1912 and 1913 the channel remained dry. From 1909 to 1911 there was no water flowing out of the Rakas-tai.
In the following table 1 have brought together the above-mentioned material; -I- signifies outflow; — no outflow:
