Intéressante à un autre point de vue est l'histoire de la Chine, traduite du persan d'ABDALLAH BEIDAVI, qui s'étend depuis le premier homme, Pan Kou, jusqu'à la naissance de Gengis Khan, l'an 549 de l'hégire (1154 ap. J.-C.). Le texte de cette chronique a été publié avec une version latine par A. MÜLLER 2, et°WESTON en a donné une traduction anglaise 3.
Nous ne rappelons que pour mémoire les médiocres travaux signés de SÉNANCOUR 4, de GÜTZLAFF 5, de THORNTON 6.
On voit qu'une histoire générale de la Chine manque encore, la seule que nous possédions étant celle
