信 苴 日
Le sin-ts'iu Je était un Po 僰 ²); son nom de famille était Touan
段. Ses ancêtres avaient été héréditairement rois du royaume de
Ta-li 大理 ³); mais, dans la suite, ils furent souvent destitués par
leurs ministres influents qui étaient de la famille Kao 高 ⁴). En
l'année kouei-tch'eou (1253), sous le règne de Hien-tsong (Mangou-
khan), Che-tsou (Koubilaï), sur l'ordre de l'empereur, alla faire une
expédition dans le Sud; il tua le ministre Kao Siang 高祥 ⁵) et
